In a momentous gathering uniting Dalit academics, visionary leaders, and influential figures, Vijay Vangalapudi, the founder of Project Navayan, convened with key members of the Dalit Bahujan community to deliberate on the construction of India’s first Ambedkar Knowledge Center and Prabuddha Cultural Center Project.

Prominent figures such as Mr. Marumudi Victor Prasad, Chairman of the Andhra Pradesh SC Commission, Rayadas Mantena, Founder of Study Abroad Group and Senior Vice President of USA Wall Street Investment Bank, and Dr. Para Ramesh Babu, a distinguished Post Doctoral Fellow and Research Scholar, along with State Bank of India SC/ST Employees Welfare Association State President Sunil Medikonda, participated in this significant meeting.

The focus of the gathering centered on the ambitious project to establish a Knowledge Center in John Peta Dalit Village, situated in the Kaikaluru Constituency of Eluru District. The primary objectives of this project encompass advancing Modern Education, fostering empowerment, instigating social change, and building a resilient community among the Dalit masses.

During the session, special acknowledgment was given to the generous contribution of Mr. Dulam Nageswara Rao, Kaikaluru MLA, who played a pivotal role in allocating the necessary land for the construction of the Ambedkar Knowledge Center and Prabuddha Cultural Center to the “Project Navayan – Human Rights Initiative” NGO. The laying of the foundation stone by DNR on Ambedkar Jayanti in 2023 was highlighted. In addition, plans were discussed to secure funds both from the government and the global NRI network for the project’s construction.

A special committee was formed on this occasion to oversee the construction of the Ambedkar Knowledge Centre . This committee aims to mobilize support from Dalit Bahujans worldwide, including global NRIs, SC/ST employee associations, and various organizations committed to social justice.

As a collective decision, the construction phase of the Ambedkar Knowledge Center & Prabuddha Cultural Center project is set to commence soon, marking a pivotal milestone for “Project Navayan – Human Rights Initiative.”

The initiation of the construction of the Ambedkar Knowledge Center signifies the dawn of a new era, where aspirations metamorphose into reality, and the dreams of modern education for Dalit Bahujans materialize.
