Empowering Communities, Building a Brighter Future

The Ambedkar Knowledge Center (AKC), an initiative by the Project NAVAYAN (Navayan Buddhist Society), is a beacon of hope for marginalized communities, including Scheduled Castes (SC), Scheduled Tribes (ST), Backward Castes (BC), and minorities, such as Muslims, in India. Located in the heart of John Peta Dalit village, our center is committed to promoting social justice, human rights, and equality through the dissemination of quality education.

Bridging Historical Gaps

In the era of rapid AI and technological advancement, the struggle persists for Dalits in India. They continue to grapple with formidable barriers when it comes to accessing quality education, despite government efforts to provide basic schooling. The harsh truth remains: oppressed communities, including Dalits, find themselves distanced from the realm of quality education. In stark contrast, individuals from more privileged backgrounds, particularly the forward castes, effortlessly wield the resources and influence needed to access top-tier educational opportunities.

Amid this landscape of inequality and injustice, the Ambedkar Knowledge Center (AKC) project emerges as a powerful bridge. It offers a swift passage to modern society for Dalit Bahujans, providing a vital shortcut to bypass centuries of systemic oppression and deeply ingrained inequality. At its core, the AKC project is on a mission to dismantle these historical barriers and carve a pathway toward a brighter, more equitable future.

As a beacon of hope and a catalyst for transformative change, the AKC project holds the promise of uplifting marginalized communities across India. It stands as a testament to the indomitable spirit of resilience and determination that characterizes the Dalits and other oppressed groups striving for a better tomorrow.

A Beacon of Empowerment

In response to these pressing challenges, the Ambedkar Knowledge Center was established. Our primary mission is to promote education, impart technical skills, and offer quality education to all, with a particular focus on marginalized communities. The Center provides essential technical education, computer literacy training, language skills development, and artistic training to students in Dalit villages and beyond.

These programs complement formal education and equip students with the skills necessary for early career success, self-sufficiency, and dignity. Through these collective efforts, the Center aims to empower marginalized communities and pave the way for a brighter and more equitable future.

Our Facilities

The Ambedkar Knowledge Center is a two-story building thoughtfully designed to serve its community. The ground floor hosts a Prabuddha Cultural Center community hall, providing a versatile space for gatherings and cultural events. Additionally, the center features a well-equipped computer lab and a modern conference room, specially designed for online classes and training sessions, making education accessible to all. Complementing these facilities is a contemporary library, rich in resources for learners of all ages.

As of 2023, this transformative project is in its construction phase, nestled in the heart of John Peta Village. With an estimated cost of 1.6 Crores, this endeavor represents a significant step toward the empowerment of marginalized communities. To bring this vision to life, the Navayan Buddhist Society is actively seeking donations from individuals and organizations who share our belief in the transformative power of education.
